Johnson C. Smith Names Aycock Head Football Coach
The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls didn’t have to look far to find their next head coach. University president Dr. Ronald Carter named interim coach Steven Aycock the school’s 10th head coach last Thursday.
Aycock, who had held the interim tag since November 2008, will take his first head coaching position after five years with the Golden Bulls staff as an offensive line coach and director of football operations. Aycock will look to improve upon a team that has posted just one winning season in the last ten years.
