Anthony Holloman Makes Immediate Impact at South Carolina State

You knew it was going to be a big gain for South Carolina State when former Tuskegee University Athletic Director defected from TU for an Vice Presidential position at State.

But who knew that his fundraising expertise and reach with Bulldog supporters would have such a fast-paced impact?

“Mr. Holloman’s vast knowledge of fund-raising, marketing and communications has made him an asset to S.C. State University,” (SC State President Dr. George) Cooper said. “He has already begun acquiring more partners for the university in an effort to increase support that will ultimately enhance the overall quality of our educational program.”

In an economy slowly dragging many institutions into diminished faculty and limited offerings, a marketing/development guru can keep your ship afloat with community and corporate partnerships. Partnerships, that don’t go away when financial times improve. It’s a lesson that most, if not all, HBCUs could stand to learn.

  1. Holloman is a great man. I had the pleasure of working with him about 10 years ago. SCSU did the right thing by hiring him.
