Grambling to Face Louisiana Tech in 2010 Port City Classic

Grambling State University will face Louisiana Tech for the first time in the 2010 Port City Classic, the two schools announced today.

“We have committed to the city of Shreveport to bring at least one game over the new few years to Shreveport,” Grambling athletic director Lin Dawson said. “We have called this — to make sense of what we’re trying to do — the Port City Classic.

“Of course, you know, Grambling played here years ago in the Red River Classic. And Tech has played here. But in terms of what we’re trying to do, we’re trying to bring some relevance to what we’re trying to do in the future.”
