Nick Saban Hires Former Stillman QB Coach Derrick Crudup Jr.

University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban has hired former Stillman College quarterbacks coach Derrick Crudup as an offensive quality control assistant. Crudup, who played quarterback at the University of Miami, oversaw a passing offense that was second-to-last in the SIAC last season, but did have a passing efficiency rating of 85.6 on the year.

“He did really well with our quarterbacks,” said Stillman coach L.C. Cole. “Our quarterback wasn’t really a thrower, and he came in and worked with him and you saw the change in the numbers. He’ll be prepared to work hard at whatever they need him for.”
