North Carolina HBCUs Join H1N1 Education Initiative

Fayetteville State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Winston-Salem State University are three HBCUs that will be participating in a state-wide initiative to encourage H1N1 vaccinations among North Carolina college students.

College mascots will be part of the campaign by encouraging students to get immunized. At selected basketball games during February, mascots from the colleges and universities will sport bandages with the message, “The Flu Stops With Me.” Student health services personnel will offer immunization clinics at games to reach out to students and others who have not been vaccinated.
