UMES’ Sharon Brummell Named to NCAA Women’s Bowling Committee

Sharon Brummell, head coach of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore women’s bowling team, has been named to the NCAA National Women’s Bowling Committee.

In those roles Brummell will be tasked with ensuring representation from conference and independents from their region, participate in selection of teams for the championship, select host sites for championships, make rules modifications, recommend officials for the National Championship, oversee all activity at the Championship, review misconduct issues, update rules manuals, and many other tasks.

Brummel has led the Hawks to four MEAC bowling titles and captured the 2008 NCAA national championship.
