Alabama State Students To Make Business Trip to Asia

Students from the Alabama State University College of Business Administration will tour a variety of financial and industrial companies in South Korea and China in the school’s third annual trip to Asia.

The student program is part of a grant the school received for business and international education. The grant, from the U.S. Department of Education, funds the trip for the students, faculty members and a teacher from a protg high school.

Along with the experience of international travel and learning about commerce in other developed nations, I wonder if Alabama State is seeking to make ties with the business sectors of these countries to create financing ties for the institution? It would be uncharted territory for an HBCU to develop goodwill for private donations from Asian corporations, and who knows? It could lead to positive leads in student recruitment as well.
