Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina A&T Advance in First Round of MEAC Men’s Basketball Tournament

Bethune-Cookman University and North Carolina A&T University both survived and advanced on Day One of the 2010 MEAC Men’s Basketball Tournament. Seventh-seeded BC defeated in-state rival Florida A&M University 64-53 behind 23 points from standout guard CJ Reed.

The Aggies defeated Howard University 65-55, and move on to face top-seeded Morgan State University in tonight’s quarterfinal match-up. Nic Simpson and James Porter combined for 34 and nine rebounds in the win.
