National Black Chamber of Commerce Endorses Texas Southern Solar Energy Research Project

The National Black Chamber of Commerce has extended a valuable endorsement to Texas Southern University and its collaboration with Evolution Solar to create a solar demonstration project on the TSU campus. The solar demonstration, a development of facilities and tools all utilizing solar power, is being developed by Texas Southern students and faculty, and will be an integral part of the TSU Green Technology Center, and future research for the university and the City of Houston.

The endorsement was due to the university’s status as a Historical Black University along with Evolution Solar’s previous work with green energy as well as its contribution to minority executive advancement.

“We are very proud to be a part of receiving this distinguished national business endorsement,” stated Robert Hines, president of Evolution Solar. “We will make every effort to continue achieving our leading edge goals in minority business development.”
