Savannah State to Present Dr. Cornel West
Dr. Cornel West, a provocative author and contemporary advocate for civil rights, will present a lecture on “The Foundations of Our Legacy: Treasuring Our Past, Preparing for Our Future” at Savannah State University.
“An Evening with Dr. West,” presented by Miss Savannah State University 2009-10 and the university Division of Student Affairs, will be held at 7 p.m. at Tiger Arena on the SSU campus. All proceeds from the sale of the $15 general-admission tickets will benefit the Miss Savannah State University Scholarship; SSU students will be admitted into the event for free with appropriate identification.
