About the HBCU Digest

The HBCU Digest is a one-stop destination for news and analysis of historically black colleges and universities. Covering headlines from each of the 105 two-year and four-year HBCUs, the HBCU Digest provides breaking news, commentary and features on the institutions of higher education shaping our culture, and our world. The HBCU Digest is published Monday through Friday, and in limited production on Saturdays.

Founded in January 2010, the HBCU Digest is a consistent reference point for other sites and publications dedicated to the progress and development of America’s historically black colleges and universities.
